My Dear Sweet Forever Love~

On this day, at this very moment, ten years ago, I married my very best friend and the man of my dreams, whom I had fallen head-over-heels in love with:

~ I fell in love with a man that I felt would cross the ocean just to spend a moment of time with me; I am madly in love with a man that I know would.
~ I fell in love with a man that I felt would protect me no matter what the cost; I am madly in love with a man that I know would give up his very own life for me.
~ I fell in love with a man who I felt was an amazingly awesome father; I am madly in love with a man that I know is.
~ I fell in love with a man that I felt would provide for me all the days of my life; I am madly in love with a man that I know will.
~ I fell in love with a man that I felt would sacrifice daily of himself for me; I am madly in love with a man that I know has sacrificed everything of himself for my happiness and always will because it is the very most important thing that there is to him.
~ I fell in love with a man that I felt was my best friend & confidant, whom I could talk to about anything & entrust with everything; I am madly in love with a man that I know is my very best friend & whom I share every part of my being with & entrust with my very life.
~ I fell in love with a man that I felt that I could grow old with; I am madly in love with a man that I know that I will not only just grow old with but that I will grow complete in Him with.
~ I fell in love with a man that I felt was strong and handsome; I am madly in love with a man that I know is not just strong by his own strength but in Christ, and that is not just handsome in looks but also in spirit & soul.
~ I fell in love with a man that I felt took my breath away and gave me butterflies in my stomach with just a touch, a kiss or a look; I am madly in love with a man that I know always will.

Our love is not a perfect love that we have always cherished as we should have, but a perfectly imperfect love that does and will bring glory to God. Although we have had to learn many things the hard way, I praise God for that, because now we truly know just how invaluable a gift God has given us and we can truly appreciate the magnitude of what our vows and the covenant that we entered into with Him means.

At that very moment, on that very day, I had absolutely no idea the lengths or widths that God had blessed me or what He had created for us together, and I stand in awe of His surpassing knowledge and awesome power. I am amazed that God saw it fit to bless me so immeasurably by giving me to you; someone so completely opposite of me and yet someone whom I so perfectly complete. I am blessed beyond human measure. My finite mind cannot wrap itself around the infinite love that He has bestowed upon me with you. You are my everything.

Find me here and speak to me.
I want to feel You; I need to hear You.
You are the light that's leading me to the place
Where I find peace again.

You are the strength that keeps me walking.
You are the hope that keeps me trusting.
You are the light to my soul.
You are my purpose; You're everything.

You calm the storms and You give me rest.
You hold me in your hands; You won't let me fall.
You steal my heart when You take my breath away.
Would You take me in, take me deeper now?

And how can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me, how could it be any better than this?

I cannot wait to spend the rest of my life with you and I am so excited to see what He has in store for us. Your love is like air, your arms are like armor, your kisses bring me to life and I can’t wait for tomorrow… (& tomorrow… )
